Jen McDonald

Jen McDonald is currently a Director at Deloitte Consulting, Enterprise, Technology and Performance, driving the go to market and delivery strategy for large scale business transformation projects bringing together Digital, Finance and Operational transformation for clients. She is also the Deloitte Consulting Finance Transformation Leader and MDM offerings owner.

Jen is an experienced Finance professional with 15 years in the in the professional services Industry, the bulk of which has been in leadership roles. It includes international experience with Deloitte Australia and the last 4 years in the role of Deloitte Africa Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the strategic and operational leadership over the Africa Finance function, comprising a team of 230 people across 14 countries in Africa.

Jen has a unique combination of skill in Finance (Chartered Accountant) and technology combined with business operations and strategy. She is a finance professional with a track record of collaborative and inclusive leadership, bringing unique value to the roles held and empowering and inspiring my teams to do more than just the ordinary. In her role as CFO for Deloitte Africa, she led the Deloitte Africa finance transformation, redefining the Finance service delivery model and setting up 6 operational cores for Africa Finance, including a Shared Service Centre.

She also led the Firm's Digital Transformation and ERP implementation projects. These large-scale business transformation projects were delivered through a multidisciplinary team across Deloitte Consulting, Risk Advisory and Tax portfolios and included the implementation of a common IT platform across our Africa operations. The ERP public cloud element of the implementation was ground-breaking in the cloud space, earning the project recognition on the global stage and winning the SAP Global Innovation Award in March 2020.
