Africa Infrastructure & Capital Projects Leader
Jean-Pierre is the Deloitte Africa Lead for Infrastructure & Capital Projects and is based in Nairobi. He is an Infrastructure and Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) specialist and has been involved in various infrastructure and PPP advisory roles in both the public and private sectors, across a variety of African countries.
Jean-Pierre is working on projects in Kenya (Nyali bridge PPP), Uganda (PPP review), and Zimbabwe (National Railways recapitalisation). In South Africa he has worked on the Gautrain extension feasibility study, and PPPs for the National Metrology Institute of South Africa, the South African Department of Rural Development, the South African Police Services, as well as the Department of Environment. He has also advised on Broadband, sewerage, water purification, solid waste, hospital, and schools infrastructure PPPs.
In addition, he has provided PPP training to the governments of Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda and Zimbabwe; he continues to present various Deloitte internal training courses in Kenya and South Africa, offers training at Deloitte University, and regularly attends and presents at international Infrastructure conferences. Jean-Pierre has also assisted the governments of Swaziland and Lesotho in the design of PPP Units and policies and regulations.
