Julie Nyang’aya is a seasoned professional with over twenty-five years of experience serving clients in the East Africa market across various industries. She has served as the Financial Services Industry Leader for Deloitte East Africa.
She is the leader of Deloitte East Africa Risk Advisory practice that she set up in 2007. Julie has led many complex projects across the region in the areas of project management and assurance, anti- money laundering reviews, end to end enterprise risk management and business process and controls transformation, IT governance, security and transformation, business and data analysis, regulatory reviews and assessments, to mention but a few.
Julie is an experienced facilitator for board of directors, executive, and management team discussions having led various reviews, trainings, and workshops across East Africa teams and in national, regional and global fora.
During her career, Julie has worked in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and the United States of America.
Julie holds a Master of Business and Administration and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Option) degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. In addition, she is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a certified GRI Sustainability Professional.
