Verusha Maharaj is currently the Advertising & Marketing lead for Deloitte Consulting South Africa. Prior to joining Deloitte she spent twelve years at the largest brand experience & activation agency in Africa. Her experience in the marketing and advertising industry spans across various roles from operations to executive management. With clients ranging from start-ups to multinationals and having run projects and teams across different countries within Africa. Throughout her career, Verusha has successfully been able to combine business management with creative delivery.
In 2016 she was selected as one of twenty millennials from the Publicis Groupe’s network of agencies worldwide to assist in mapping out the future of the agency. The only representative from Africa, she was identified as key talent in the group instrumental to setting the creative agenda and roadmap. She has a passion for experiential marketing & when she completed her MBA with Wits Business School, her thesis was centred around the impact of big data on activation strategy.
