Life at Deloitte

Leading the way

For more than two decades, Deloitte has been leading the way with our inclusive culture. The result? A cultural revolution that has had an impact not only on the people of Deloitte, but also beyond our four walls. It’s a source of opportunity, enrichment, and new thinking. Inclusion fosters innovation–and it’s central to our lasting success.

Driving strength through diversity and cultivating an environment where leaders thrive are key components of our Inclusion strategy. Deloitte is committed to recruiting, developing, and promoting a diverse workforce and dedicated to sustaining an inclusive culture, one where all of our people…

… feel like they belong

… are valued for their strengths

Video series: Share your story

Everybody has a story. It is what uniquely defines each of us and helps others better understand who we really are. At Deloitte, we realize that it’s through the telling of stories that we help break down barriers, find common ground, and provide a platform for a shared experience; one that encourages expressing our authentic selves and strengthens our inclusive culture. Watch videos from our leaders below.

“We all have something unique to contribute to Deloitte’s success; a diverse workforce brings to the table the skills, knowledge, and viewpoints we need to serve our clients, learn from one another, and grow in an increasingly competitive and global marketplace. That’s why we’re focused on fostering a culture where all of our professionals have the opportunity to reach their potential and thrive as leaders.”

Building a sense of community

In a complex and large organization such as Deloitte, it might not be easy to see how our professionals could feel as if they are a part of a close-knit family. But, the people of Deloitte form strong bonds with each other in many ways: through their offices, functions, industries, and the client teams on which they work. And to further expand their networks and connect with those who share similar backgrounds, many of our people belong to one or more of our communities:

  • Ability First & Allies Business Resource Group  (Ability BRG)
  • Armed Forces & Allies Business Resource Group (Armed Forces)
  • Asian-American Alliance & Allies Business Resource Group (ABRG)
  • Black Employee Network & Allies Business Resource Group (BEN)
  • Deloitte Parents Network
  • Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Employees & Allies (GLOBE)
  • Hispanic/Latino(a) Employee Network & Allies Business Resource Group (HNet)
  • International Business Resource Group & Allies (IBRG)
  • Women's networks (WIN)

Honored for our inclusive culture

Organizations outside Deloitte have consistently recognized us for our inclusive culture and diverse workforce. Deloitte is a perennial on Fortune’s list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For; DiversityInc’s Top 50; and Working Mother Media’s “Best Companies for Working Mothers” and the “Best Companies for Multicultural Women.”

Since 2006, Deloitte has received perfect scores on the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Corporate Equality Index, in recognition of LGBT-friendly policies, and has been named one of G.I. Jobs “Top 100 Military Friendly Employers.”

Deloitte has also been honored twice with the Catalyst award, which recognizes innovative, effective, and measurable initiatives from organizations that support and advance women in business.

Inclusion External Advisory Council

As further testament of our commitment to an inclusive environment, Deloitte is the only “Big Four” organization to have an external council focused on inclusion-related issues. Deloitte’s Inclusion External Advisory Council–a unique group of influential business, academia, government, and community leaders—meets three times a year with Deloitte’s senior business leaders to review and challenge results and progress on key performance measures, and provide on-going guidance and insight.
