In line with its corporate social responsibility agenda, Deloitte continues to make investment in educational development in rural Azerbaijan. The overall aim of "In search of bright minds" internship project is enhancing youth capabilities in the regions of Azerbaijan.

We want to increase an access to quality trainings among young students in rural areas and actively involve them in a practical internships. We improve partnership between support organisations, communities and local authorities.

In line with its corporate social responsibility agenda, Deloitte continues to make investment in educational development in rural Azerbaijan. The overall aim of "In search of bright minds" project is enhancing youth capabilities in the regions of Azerbaijan. On 16-18th April 2014 Deloitte in partnership with Azerenerji JSC launched a training program for 14 students at the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University in Ganja.

This joint learning program was initiated by Azerenerji and is part of its long-term commitment to support and contribute to the human capital development in the country through building effective workforce and youth career readiness in the regions of Azerbaijan. Deloitte and Azerenerji build their social mission concept on the importance of helping today’s students who are tomorrow’s workforce to gain essential business and economic immersion experience as well as increase their capabilities and competitiveness in the job market. Considering an acute need for specialized trainings amongst young jobseekers and graduates along with certain resource scarcity in the regions of the country, Deloitte and Azerenerji will extend the experience to the broader catchment area of Lankaran and two other regions, Mingachevir and Ganja. The proposed educational activities will aim at increasing local capacities of rural youth in IFRS and tax accounting as two key areas of the most demanded business services.

Key objective of the program:

-To establish student groups from the three districts to train directly young people who studies economics and finance in rural universities such as Lankaran, Mingachevir and Ganja

-To support the training for group of students in rural areas such as Lankaran, Mingachevir and Ganja

-To determine which training support materials might be the most effective for young students in rural areas

-To evaluate the overall project for its effectiveness

Half of the students who have participated in trainings will get internship within Deloitte in Azerbaijan and Azerenerji
