You are cordially invited to attend our practical training on how to analyze financial statements, where we will cover the following topics:
• The role of financial information and the goals of financial analysis
• Losses stemming from manipulation of financial statements or inaccuracies
• Types of analytical procedures depending on the depth of analysis, ranging from analysis of general reporting to significant accounts and individual transactions
• Analytical procedures at the level of the overall financial statement:
• industry characteristics of the balance sheet’s structure
• industry features of the profit or loss statement’s (PLS) structure
• the relationship between a Company’s profit and loss statement and balance sheet
• horizontal and vertical analysis of statements
• liquidity, financial stability, turnover and operating efficiency ratios
• Analytical procedures at the material accounts level: assets, revenues and margins, operating income and expenses, and calculation of individual ratios for material accounts along with their interpretation
• Using multi-factor models to identify misstatements
• The Beneish Model (aggregated M-score index)
• Analysis of changes in working capital
• Review of statements using non-financial indicators
• The Altman model (Z-score)
• Practical exercises
