Plan. Budget. Forecast. Control

17-18 September 2020

Practical Training

In the face of growing internal and external complexity, what could be more important than understanding where we are today, where we want to be tomorrow, and what steps we need to take to get there? The macroeconomic challenges emerging from the global financial crisis, along with increasing stakeholder and consumer demands, mean that traditional PBF processes no longer serve businesses so effectively.

Deloitte’s research into planning, budgeting and forecasting has revealed that for 86 per cent of organizations, Finance is still the primary owner of these critical
business processes. As a result, more than 60 per cent of respondents only look
at financial outcomes, neglecting other important corporate performance indicators.

Thus, given the importance of forecasting and budget planning for any organization, regardless of its scale, activity type or industry, Deloitte Academy’s next training session will be devoted to studying new trends in Budgeting.

•       How a company’s strategy and budget are related;

•      The typical stages, approaches and methods of budgeting;

•      Budgeting by responsibility centers and different types of budgets;

•      Budgetary control;

•      Various risks and how they can affect a budget;

•      Implementing risk-oriented budgets;

•      Models for assessing risks that affect budget targets and how they work.

The training is designed for finance and accounting professionals, as well as line managers who deal with strategic planning and budgeting.

The course will be delivered by experienced finance and risk advisory experts serving multiple industries. Analytical techniques, examples and case studies will all be presented during the session, and relevant practical examples will illustrate learning points, tools and techniques in a real-world setting. Group discussions will encourage the exchange of experience and ideas, while interactive team case studies and exercises will reinforce the topics covered in a hands-on way. What’s more, participants often praise our sessions for being fun.
