Deloitte research shows high-impact organizations consistently create a culture build on trust, inclusion, and progressive people management. This combination makes sense, given the volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environment most businesses find themselves in today. The old predict-and-control models of leading people no longer work, and instead are being replaced by a model of trust, empowerment, and shared vision to safely and effectively navigate through disruption.

Deloitte research further reinforces HR’s role in shaping culture, finding HR skills in organizational culture are also predictive of higher business- and workforce-related outcomes. As much as any other function in the organization, HR has an opportunity to shape an organization’s culture, given its role throughout the employment lifecycle and worker experience.
