Ivaylo obtained a master's degree in "Law" in 2011 and a bachelor's degree in "International Relations" in 2013 from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Under a joint program between SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" and the University of Cambridge he completed specialized courses in "English Law and Legal Skills" in 2021 and in "Commercial Law" in 2022. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Commercial Law in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Member of the Sofia Bar Association since 2022.
