This recognition was followed by another announcement this month ranking Deloitte as #1 “World’s Most Attractive Employer” in the professional services industry for the 14th consecutive year in Universum’s 2022 survey.

About the awards

Both lists recognize top employers based on a holistic set of criteria. The “World’s Best Workplaces™” list serves as a corporate trust index, measuring the behaviors that create a trusting and inclusive environment and culture. With a pool of more than 10,000 organizations participating in the survey process, only those with the highest marks on company values, leadership, management and people, and policies and practices are selected. This year, Deloitte professionals from around the world credited Deloitte for creating an exceptional employee culture, a high-trust environment, and workplaces that are fair and equal for all.

Universum’s “World’s Most Attractive Employer” list draws from a survey of more than 185,000 business, engineering and IT students in the world’s 9 largest economies. Through this survey, these groups of future talent are asked to provide insights into the company characteristics they find most attractive in a potential employer, as well as who they perceive to be their ideal employer.

Our Deloitte Middle East (DME) talent strategy

We believe that an inclusive culture, underpinned by respect and allyship principles, provides the foundation for a diverse and vibrant organization.

We want everyone to feel they can be themselves and thrive at work and we are consistently focused on the everyday culture that our people experience. Additionally, steps have been taken to proactively ensure all employees have the resources they need to succeed throughout their careers. To foster allyship, we have endorsed the DME Allyship program aiming at driving positive change toward enabling diverse and underrepresented groups to feel heard and perform at their best.

Born to amplify our diversity through storytelling, we have also created CultureConnect – a series of internal short talks which provides space for the 100+ nationalities in DME, to come together to showcase unique diversity in the region and highlight our shared value of fostering inclusion. In these talks we raise awareness of cultures, customs, festivities and work to break perceptions which are significant to our people.

This year, we have revamped various employees benefits policies that are important to our people wellbeing as we continue living our value of 'Taking care of each other'.

Our commitment to balance profit with purpose is evident in efforts to help people and advance responsible environmental practices. Through our WorldClass ambition, we seek to reduce social inequality and support disadvantaged communities by providing job skills, improving educational outcomes and increasing access to opportunities for 50 million people by 2030. And with our recently announced WorldClimate initiative, we are pledging to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for our own operations, operate green, and educate our approximately 6000 professionals in the Middle East network to become agents of change through sustainable choices at home and at work.
