Chris Wood

Chris is a partner in Deloitte’s Audit and Assurance practice. He leads the firm’s Accounting & Reporting Advisory team in Toronto which specializes in complex accounting, strategic communications, climate and sustainability reporting and disclosures, as well as audit, accounting, and financial reporting services in connection with mergers and acquisitions, divestiture, carve-out, initial public offering, securitization, structured finance, and other complex transactions. Chris is also the Financial Services leader for Assurance and co-leader for climate and sustainability reporting and disclosure.

Specializing in accounting for financial instruments, he has more than 17 years of experience assisting clients with complex accounting issues with a focus on banking, private equity and investment management. He has worked extensively on IFRS, financial product structuring, fraud litigation, credit risk, and financial instrument valuation.
