2024 CxO Sustainability Report

Signs of a shift in business climate action

The third edition of Deloitte's 2024 CxO Sustainability Report surveyed over 2,100 executives across 27 countries on their views and strategies related to sustainability and climate change, finding more organizations are increasing their sustainability investments, as climate change continues to be one of the top three priorities for global C-suite level business leaders (CxOs).

Key findings from Switzerland

An opportunity to scale up efforts

The sustainable future we need cannot be achieved by leading companies alone. To drive widespread change and speed up the transition, the "moderate middle" companies, which are taking a few high-impact actions, should expand the scope and intensity of their efforts.

Swiss executives are seeing tangible benefits from their sustainability initiatives with improved operating margins and new revenue streams. Beyond financial gains, they are attracting and retaining talent through their efforts.

Key considerations for Swiss leaders striving to ramp up action

Swiss organisations are surpassing the global average in their sustainability efforts, with year-on-year improvement since 2023. Prioritising renewable energy, sustainable materials, and climate-friendly product development, are topping their efforts. The number of Swiss organisations undertaking harder-to-implement, needle-moving actions has increased since 2023, outperforming the global average.

Every company's sustainability journey is unique, but business leaders are more dedicated than ever. Download the report to learn more about how your organisation can contribute.
