AP CEO attends BFA opening plenary and dialogue with Premier Li

On the morning of 30 March, the opening plenary of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2023 was held in Boao, Hainan under the theme “An Uncertain World: Solidarity and Cooperation for Development amid Challenges”. Chinese Premier Li Qiang attended the opening plenary and delivered a keynote speech.

Premier Li pointed out in his speech that in an uncertain world, the certainty of China is the mainstay of maintaining world peace and prosperity. The growth momentum of China's economy is strong enough. We are confident that China's economy could brave the wind and the waves, achieve steady growth, and make greater contribution to the world economy.

On 30 March, Deloitte Asia Pacific CEO David Hill attended the opening plenary of the BFA Annual Conference 2023 and listened to the keynote speech of Premier Li Qiang with more than 2,000 delegates from around the world.

David Hill was invited to participate in the Dialogue between the Chinese Leader and Entrepreneurs on 30 March, following Premier Li's meeting with Deloitte Global Chair Sharon Thorne during the China Development Forum on 27 March. After twice meetings with Premier Li just in a week, two executives expressed their confidence in Deloitte's development in China.

"I'm very honoured to attend the Boao Forum for Asia and have the chance to meet with Premier Li Qiang. Premier Li stressed in his speech that China will work together with other countries to bring more and greater certainty to a world full of uncertainties and strive to build a better world for all. This is encouraging and exciting. We will further cultivate local markets and create greater value for clients in China and Asia with greater confidence and resolution," David Hill said.

Deloitte China Chair Vivian Jiang led the team of Deloitte delegates, including Deloitte China Clients & Industries Managing Partner Rosa Yang, Chief Marketing Officer Lily Sheng, Chief Economist Sitao Xu, Sustainability and Climate Managing Partner Allan Xie, Financial Advisory Partner Shirley Wang, Deloitte Research Partner Lydia Chen, Consulting Partner Amanda Li and Michael Deng to attend the opening plenary and participate in various events at BFA 2023 to provide professional suggestions and advice.
