Deloitte once again named Top 3 Employer in China

Published: 25 January 2021

The Top Employers Institute today released the Top Employers China 2021 list of certified organizations. Deloitte China is proud to have received the certification for the 15th consecutive year, and recognized as one of the top three employers once again. Deloitte is the only professional services firm in a top three position.

The Top Employers Institute is the global authority on recognizing excellence in people practices. It helps to accelerate these practices and enrich the world of work. Through the Top Employers Institute Certification Program, participating companies are validated, certified and recognized as employers of choice. The certification standards in 2020 included a more rigorous evaluation of organizations' six HR domains: people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, wellbeing, and diversity and inclusion.

Patrick Tsang, Deloitte China CEO, says, "It is a great honor to have received the 'Top Employer' certification for the 15th consecutive year, and attained the top three position for the second year. At Deloitte, we adopt a 'people-first' approach and will continue to provide world-class platforms and experiences that empower our talent to unleash their strength and potential. By embracing our culture of 'courage, innovation, inclusion, wellbeing + integrity', we will drive further growth while nurturing future-ready talent to make an impact that matters."

Deloitte China's continuous innovation and progressive approach to digitalizing talent management is one of the main reasons it surpassed this year's more rigorous standards. Digital tools such as Cura (an AI-enabled learning content curation app), D.Coin, and smart recruitment system have enabled advanced and personalized talent attraction, retention and development experiences, supporting its people to prepare for the future.

In addition, Deloitte adopted 'people-first' principles throughout the pandemic by acting quickly to implement flexible work arrangements and supporting its people as they adapted to unexpected challenges. These approaches are underpinned by the firm's resilient leadership and agility, which are highly regarded within the profession.

Jungle Wong, Deloitte China Chief Talent Officer, says, "Being named as a top employer in China for the 15th consecutive year affirms Deloitte's talent strategy and commitment to HR best practices. At Deloitte, we always put our people first. By driving innovation and digital transformation in HR management, we build diverse, inclusive workplaces guided by equality and respect, encouraging the growth and development of future-ready talent and the next generation workforce. We will continue to offer market-leading wellbeing and welfare programs to help our talent achieve work-life unity and stay at the top of their games."

Deloitte China's dedication to empowering people for social impact is also highly regarded. Ever since Deloitte entered the China market over a century ago, the firm has been committed to creating platforms for talent to contribute to a sustainable society through initiatives such as WorldClass and WorldClimate. Moreover, Deloitte has demonstrated market-leading practices in building an inclusive environment, coaching culture, and providing diverse wellbeing programs.
