Deloitte Tax Championship  – innovation and home-grown talent 

Over 2,000 top university students have participated in the Deloitte Tax Championship since its launch in 2004. Organized by Deloitte Tax Research Foundation and Shanghai Deloitte Tax Ltd., it was created to promote education, research and innovation in the field of taxation, and to support tertiary educators to develop the interest and talent of university students in Greater China. With each year, the number of participating universities and students has grown. In 2014, the competition attracted nearly 300 students from 64 top universities in Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, Taiwan and Macau. The competition sets students the challenges of presenting case studies and essays on a topical issue, which are evaluated by an independent panel of officials from Chinese tax authorities and Deloitte tax executives. Winners of regional heats compete for the national championship title.
