An Open and Honest Point of View about Deloitte Mobility

I joined Deloitte in London in 2017 as an experienced hire after working as anactuary in the life insurance sector for around 7 years. After spending a year in London, I wanted to explore opportunities internationally and I was aware of severalcolleagues having successfully arranged assignments through Deloitte’s Global Mobility Program.

The support I received from the GMP, both in the UK and China, made the processrun incredibly smoothly. There was help and advice available on everything I neededincluding travel, accommodation and tax and the whole process took about 7 monthsfrom making the initial enquiry, to the plane touching down on the runway in Hong Kong.

Having been in Hong Kong now for 3 months, I can say that the experience I’ve had so far been everything I was looking for. The work here is interesting, challenging and rewarding and the firm here has some great clients that we’re working with to help grow and develop.

Hong Kong is a great city for ex-pats to live in – the lifestyle is fantastic, with greatbeaches to relax on and stunning mountains to hike on all within a few miles of themain city. And finally the travel opportunities beyond Hong Kong go on and on, withthe whole of South East Asia to explore in only a few hours’ flight.
