Open APIs could point towards future of co-creation and collaboration

Enterprise Innovation Net (enterpriseinnovation.net) published an article discussing the dawn of a co-creation era with the use of open APIs (application programming interfaces) that could benefit financial institutions, often operating with their backend, core systems.

Deloitte China Consulting Partner Dr. Paul Sin, who leads the Asia Pacific Blockchain Lab, explains that multiple factors will determine how easy it is, or even if it is feasible, to expose data stored on backend systems. Backend systems will also affect the ability and agility to integrate with other partners in the ecosystem through open APIs, as well as leverage the benefits of the latest cloud service providers.
