Deloitte China Signed Strategic Cooperation Memorandum with Shandong Province Government

On August 31, 2015 during the Hong Kong Shandong Week, witnessed by Mr. Clement Hung, Chairman of Deloitte China and Mr. Xia Geng, Deputy Governor of Shandong Province, a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum was signed by Mr. Derek Lai, Deloitte Managing Partner of Southern China and Mr. Liu Honghua, Deputy Secretary-general of Shandong Province on behalf of Deloitte China and Shandong Province respectively at Deloitte Hong Kong office. According to the memorandum, Deloitte China will act as the sole think tank for Shandong province government to provide intellectual support in respect of Shandong equity leading fund establishment, large scale enterprise transformation and state-owned enterprise transform, etc. Besides the participants from Shandong province government and local government, key enterprises supervised by Shandong government and Deloitte, many high level management from world class investment banks and PE firms, a total of around 60 people attended the event. This is also the first time for Shandong government officials visiting an international professional service institute.

The event was reported by Hong Kong newspapers Ta Kung Pao, China Daily Hong Kong and some other media. And we have received appreciation letter from Shandong government addressing to Mr. Clement Hung, Chairman of Deloitte China inviting him to visit Shandong when schedule permits.

With the signing of Strategic Cooperation Memorandum, the closer cooperation between Shandong province government and Deloitte China is expected to be drawing in and various forms of activities are to be organized in near future.
