Deloitte hosted a New Champion Entrepreneurs Dinner in Tianjin
On the occasion of Summer Davos Forum, Tianjin Municipal Government and Deloitte jointly organized the New Champion Entrepreneurs Dinner on 26 June, with the theme of “Reconstructing innovation for new growth”. Tianjin Vice Mayor Mr. He Shushan attended the dinner and delivered a speech. Other participants include officials from Tianjin municipal commissions – Municipal Commission of Industry and Information Technology, Tianjin Commission of Commerce, Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Tianjin, Tianjin Binhai New Area and Tianjin Binhai CBD Area.
Deloitte Consulting Global Industry and Senior Client Advisor Gary Coleman and Deloitte Tianjin Office Managing Partner Jason Su also gave speeches respectively. The Co-Chairman of Deloitte LLP Center for the Edge John Hagel also delivered a keynote address on business fragmentation and concentration. John pointed out that a parallel pattern of fragmentation and concentration will become prevalent in the business community and it will be reshaping business models. Companies in different parts of the economy, for example those offering creative services or products and those providing infrastructure or resource platforms, will have to redefine their business strategies to succeed in the future. Other Deloitte partners were present at this high-level dinner, including Vice Chairman of Chemical Industry Sub-council of Global Agenda Council and Deloitte Consulting Specialist Leader Jeffrey Carbeck, Deloitte Global CSG Chairman Rosa Yang, Deloitte China S&O Partner Zhang Tianbing, Deloitte Consulting Partner Yasutoki Ishiguro and Deloitte China CIM Partner Lily Sheng.
There was a vivid discussion on innovation and growth under changing conditions among the Tianjin government officials, Deloitte partners, and business leaders from MNCs and the market’s most innovative companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Dow Chemical, Tata Steel, ABB, JPMorgan Chase, Carlsberg, Airbnb and Baidu, etc.
