2018 Deloitte Financial Industry Hotspot
Embrace Data Assets & FinTech seminar invitation
On 21 May 2018, two months after releasing the initial draft guidelines, China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) has officially published the "Guidelines for Data Governance of Banking Financial Institutions". The new set of guidelines clarified the data governance structure, it also requires the industry to improve overall data management measures and data quality. Also emphasizing the stronger and more stringent regulatory requirements of regulatory agencies, the importance of data asset management is increasingly prominent.
Accuracy, completeness, and validity of data, these aspects of data provide the assurance that any business activity requires. Data has not only allow organizations to learn more about themselves, but also understand the external environment, so they have the ability to predict future trends and developments, thus gaining an edge in a constantly evolving market. With the continuous emergence of new technologies such as big data, cloud computing, block chain, and artificial intelligence (AI), information technology and the financial industry are constantly colliding and merging, and “internet finance” has gradually evolved into a financial system that does not adhere to traditional financial systems. Financial institutions seeking innovation and transformation have begun to actively seek in-depth cooperation with technology companies and stimulate new patterns in the traditional financial industry. How to better integrate the latest technology into financial services, discover data asset values, users' financial needs, and enhance customer experience are areas that are worth of further exploration.
This seminar provides a platform for interpreting regulatory requirements, discussing governing theories, and sharing practical operation methodologies. The discussions topics include Data Governance & EAST Regulatory Data, Cyber Security, AI, Deloitte the 4th Report, and technology regulatory trends. Deloitte's financial industry risk management experts will collaborate with experts and representatives from the regulatory agencies and financial institutions to conduct in-depth discussions on the latest regulatory trends in the financial industry. Together, we hope to discover new opportunities and grasp new knowledge for the future.
We sincerely invite you to attend this seminar and looking forward to your active participation.
