Deloitte 2016 Automotive Industry Seminar

The Administrative Measures for the Sales of Automobiles (Draft for Comment) and the Guidelines on Anti-Monopoly in the Automobile Industry (Draft for Comment) were promulgated respectively in January 2016 and March 2016. Starting in early 2016, Chinese tax authorities has increased their inspection on automobile financing enterprises. The Customs’ Inspection on royalties and warranty is now in full swing, directly affecting the automobile enterprises. In May 2016, Value-Added Tax ("VAT") reform was completely rolled out to cover all sectors. In addition, the re-validation of the advance authorized enterprises has been widely rolled out in 2016. The vetting exercise of the advance authorized enterprises is set to be completed by the end of 2017.

So how will this new series of tax laws and regulations impact the automobile enterprises? How should the automobile enterprises face these new challenges?
