Ms. Dora Liu joined Deloitte Shanghai office in April 1993, and worked in Deloitte's Tokyo office for over three years and New York office for one and a half years. She is proficient in Chinese, English and Japanese, and has over 20 years of extensive industry knowledge and experience in providing professional services for various clients.
As Deloitte China Eastern Region Managing Partner and Deloitte China Innovation Leader, Dora provides professional services to financial institutions engaged in banking, securities, funds and insurance. From 1993 to 1995, she worked closely with the Ministry of Finance on the development of Chinese accounting standards and with the People’s Bank of China on the implementation of corporate governance framework for state owned commercial banks in China. Dora is also a member of the IASB valuation expert panel.
Major clients she has served include: Agricultural Bank of China (led ABC's share transformation and IPO, and served as signatory for its auditor's report), Bank of Communications (led BoCom's A-share IPO and served as signatory for its auditor's report), China Huarong Asset Management Co., Ltd., and China Telecom, etc.
Moreover, Dora was a member of the 1st CPPCC Shanghai Huangpu District Committee. Now as a Deputy to Shanghai Municipal People's Congress and a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum, Dora leverages various platforms to make contributions for professional institutions and China to participate in international affairs.
As the leader of Deloitte China Innovation, Dora led and established Deloitte China's first Greenhouse in Shanghai, seeking to help companies build a win-win ecosystem by leveraging its Speed SET, a revolutionary model which facilitates the generation of innovation ideas and solutions. Nowadays, Greenhouse has been an important platform for building innovation eco-system with multiple partners including major clients, governments, universities, start-up companies and incubators, to accelerate the commercialization of innovation assets.
Dora is a fellow member of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
