John Hung is a partner of Deloitte China.  Since joining the partnership of Deloitte China in 1996, Mr. Hung has been serving some Deloitte’s most significant national and global clients. Currently John is Vice Chairman of Deloitte China, AP Client Program Leader and the Deputy Managing Partner of Markets & Global Network. From July 2019, John also serves as the Chairman of Deloitte’s Global Chinese Services Group.

Mr. Hung joined our London office in 1987 and was trained as a Chartered Accountant. He delivered audit services to Chinese companies operating in the United Kingdom and led Deloitte China Services Group in London. He also served a range of multinational manufacturing companies and financial institutions in London.

Mr. Hung currently leads the delivery of services to a wide range of clients, including high growth companies and large national corporations, especially multinational organizations.  He has extensive experience, including:

- liaising and supervising local statutory audits and consolidating accounts for international clients;

- leading IPO projects;

- providing various services in connection with mergers and acquisitions including conducting financial due diligence;

- advising on business formation and various risk management issues.

Prior to joining Deloitte, John practiced as a civil and structural engineer for five years in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.

Education: Associateship in Civil Engineering – Hong Kong Polytechnic University; Master of Business Administration – University of Warwick , London.

Qualification: Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales; Fellow of The CPA Australia.

John has served companies of all sizes, from Chinese enterprises to Fortune 500 companies, including Guangzhou Auto, Dongfeng Motor, Baowu, Chery, GKN, E-House (US listed), Alcatel-Lucent, LVMH, BASF, and General Motors.
