Amrit is a Partner with Deloitte and leads the Government and Public Sector industry in Deloitte India. He is also the Leader – International Markets for Deloitte India, driving the expansion of Deloitte offerings in emerging geographies. In his four decades of experience, he has worked closely with Central and State Government Ministries in India, and other developing economies in key economic and development sectors, advising on policy and institutional development, public service delivery, and infrastructure projects. Amrit has led teams to undertake landmark government assignments in South India, South East Asia, Africa, China, and the United Kingdom. He has worked extensively with a mix of clients, including government departments, international development agencies such as the World Bank, ADB, DFID-UK, JICA, etc., and private corporate entities.

Amrit is a member of Deloitte’s Global Executive Committee and Asia Pacific Regional Executive on Infrastructure & Capital Projects (I&CP), and is the Deloitte Global Leader for Donor Agency – I&CP Integration. His core areas of work in infrastructure advisory are policy and governance reforms, regulatory and institutional frameworks, infrastructure project management and coordination, and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) lifecycle development. He has led advisory teams for delivering projects across key sectors—Roads, Airports, Railways, Metro Rail, Water and Sanitation, including many first-of-its-kind PPP projects and large institutional transformation exercises.

Amrit regularly writes and presents on the subject of Development and Infrastructure in various industry platforms and business publications. He is also frequently invited to be part of committees formed by government bodies as well as key trade associations such as Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) to deliberate on infrastructure development challenges in the country.
