The tax practice of Deloitte’s member firms, winner at the ITR European Tax Awards

The tax practice of Deloitte’s member firms has won 24 awards at the 2017 European Tax Awards organized by the International Tax Review (ITR) publication, more than any other participating organization in this year's program.  The annual awards recognize the innovative and impactful work completed by an organization in the last year and rely on the feedback received from clients. Among the awards, the member firms have won the European Tax Firm of the Year and the European Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year.

Deloitte Romania’s Tax practice has also shown significant performances while serving some of the largest companies on the market during the past years. In the fiscal year that ended on May 31, Deloitte Romania’s tax practice has seen an 18% growth compared to the previous year while the team reached 172 professionals, a 22% growth compared to the previous year. Five of them are partners and nine directors.

“I would like to thank our team and our clients who have continued to work with us in the financial year recently ended with remarkable performances in a rapidly changing environment and in such a dynamic market. During each of the past five years, Deloitte Romania’s tax practice has seen double-digit growth thus reaching a more than double number of clients and more than double revenues,” said Dan Badin, Partner-in-Charge Deloitte Romania Tax & Legal.

“The financial results show the trust our clients- more recent or older ones- have in the high quality of our work. We remain optimistic that we will continue to grow in a stable economic environment to achieve our clear goals of diversifying our portfolio of products and constantly increasing the quality of our services in order to respond to the changing demands of our customers,” added Badin.

Deloitte Romania’s tax department specializes in business lines reflecting the main tax areas: corporate income tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and global employer services. It also covers main industries countrywide from our offices in Bucharest, Cluj and Timisoara.
