Deloitte and One Young World

Empowering young leaders to make a societal impact

As part of Deloitte’s WorldClass ambition to impact 50 million people, our partnership with One Young World (OYW) develops young professionals into future leaders who can solve the world’s toughest problems.

From 22-25 October 2019, a delegation of 50 Deloitte professionals and 10 OYW scholars will be attending the OYW Summit in London, UK. This year’s Summit is focused on five key issues: education, peaceful future, media freedom, poverty alleviation, and planetary health.

The OYW Summit brings young leaders from around the world annually for a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to be inspired for positive change, develop leadership skills, and build their global networks. After the Summit, Deloitte’s OYW delegation will commit their inspiration and skills to address some of the world’s most complex global challenges through projects they deliver.

Michele Parmelee, Chief People and Purpose Officer, Deloitte Global will serve as a Counselor at the OYW Summit 2019. In this role, she will join other business, government, and humanitarian leaders to share her insights, and encourage delegates to translate their Summit experience into true learning and action to create positive change.

Lead2030 Challenge

For the second year, Deloitte is proud to be supporting OYW’s Lead2030 Challenge. Deloitte’s challenge seeks applications from innovative, youth-led initiatives that make an impact towards addressing United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 4 – Quality Education. Through this challenge, we seek to support solutions that help young people prepare for the Fourth Industrial Revolution through skills development and lifelong learning, accelerating entrepreneurship, or improving access to education and skills opportunities.
