EU Taxonomy is the first global system for classification of sustainable economic activities from an environmental perspective.
Environmental objectives
Alignment
Economic activity is aligned with the EU Taxonomy (environmentally sustainable) if:
- Contributes substantially to one or more environmental objectives (Substantial contribution)
- Does not significantly harm any of the environmental objectives (DNSH)
- Is carried out in compliance with the minimum safeguards laid down in Article 18 (Minimum safeguards) – social standards, human rights, etc.
- Complies with technical screening criteria
Eligibility
Economic activity that is described in Commission Delegated Regulations and has established technical screening criterias.
