Deloitte Legal Tech Fair
Insights into the evolving legal market
The legal market is evolving rapidly in terms of technology, legal operations and what the legal department of the future will look like. The Deloitte Legal Tech Fair 2023 in Düsseldorf provided new and exciting insights into these topics.
We were delighted to welcome so many people interested in legal tech to our Deloitte Legal Tech Fair at our Düsseldorf office on September 12. In addition to numerous discussions at our booth, the presentations and discussions of our experts provided exciting new insights: After a short welcome by Klaus Gresbrand, Partner Deloitte Legal, the Deloitte Legal Tech Fair started with a keynote by Katja Karcher, LL.M. (London), Global Lead Counsel Digital, IT Law & Procurement, Heidelberg Materials AG, on the topic of digital contract and legal matter management.
This was followed by a lively panel discussion between
- Frau Katja Karcher, LL.M. (London), Global Lead Counsel Digital, IT Law & Procurement, Heidelberg Materials AG,
- Herr Philipp Thönnes, Senior Manager Legal Operations & Legal Tech, E.ON SE,
- Herr Dr. Sven von Alemann, Head of Legal Tech & General Counsel, Join GmbH und
- Herr Jürgen Lübeck, Senior Solution Executive, Service-Now.com GmbH
on topics such as the (supporting) role of the legal department in the introduction of digital solutions in the area of contract and matter management, the topic of automated legal service request intake and, of course, the hot topic of artificial intelligence, in particular generative AI, in the context of legal tech applications.
Afterwards, visitors had the opportunity to get to know numerous legal tech solutions from Deloitte Legal and our partners. They could explore the metaverse with VR glasses or transform themselves into superheroes, robo-lawyers or simply Barbie and Ken on the video screen using generative AI. Classic legal tech topics such as contract lifecycle management or e-signature, as well as technology-enabled services such as legal entity management, "RegMonitoring by Deloitte" and case management from JUNE's Legal AI & Automation Workspace and many other topics could be explored in more detail at our booths.
JUNE is one of the first platforms to offer its users full access to generative AI with the "JUNE Assistant". Users can interact directly with their files, ask questions about the file content, write a summary of the file, or even list standards and references. The tool even supports writing legal correspondence in any language.
