Cookie Notice

Last revised: 27 April 2022

This Website uses cookies and web beacons to improve the user experience and ensure that it is functioning effectively.

In addition to our Privacy Statement, we would like to use this cookie notice to inform you about how we process your personal data that is made available to us through cookies and web beacons. For more information on how we handle and protect the data/information entrusted to us, please see our Privacy Statement.

Cookies are small text files that are stored by our website server on your computer or other device for internet use. There is no danger from these cookies, as they are not executable programs.

We use these cookies in order to provide you with information tailored to your individual needs and relevant to you. We achieve this by collecting, analysing and storing information about you and your usage behaviour with the help of the cookies.

In connection with cookies, we also place small graphic files on our website, so-called web beacons (also known as "pixel tags" or "clear GIFs"), which enable identification of the user or user behavior.

You can decide for yourself whether you want to allow the use of cookies and web beacons or whether you want to use our website without the use of these technologies. However, we expressly point out that it is not possible to use our website without the use of specially required cookies. To this end, we would like to explain to you in detail which cookies and web beacons we use or would like to use for which purpose:

How we use cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms.
Functional cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization based on your interaction with the website. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages.

Analytics and performance cookies allow us to track analytics by counting visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our website. They may be set by us or by third party providers to help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the website.

More information you will find in our Privacy Statement.

Web beacons (or tracking pixels) are used to track the number of website visits.

Targeting and advertising cookies may be set through our website by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertisements on other websites.

Click on "Manage cookie preferences" at the top of this cookie notice, to receive an overview of the cookies used by our website.

Google Tag Manager

The Google Tag Manager is used for the collection of data on a website and is a solution with which so-called website tags can be managed centrally via an interface. The data is not collected or stored, but only transferred to analysis programs such as Google Analytics for further processing. The Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) does not process any personal data of the users. Further information on the processing of Google Tag Manager data can be found on the following page:

Google Analytics Retargeting

In the context of our advertising activities we use retargeting within Google Analytics and the Google Marketing Platform.

Through cross-device functions of Google Analytics and the Google Marketing Platform, advertising target groups created in this way can be linked across devices. Thus, advertising measures based on your previous usage and surfing behavior can be displayed on different end devices. This linking can only take place if you have given your consent. This allows personalized advertising messages to be displayed on your devices on which you have signed in with your Google Account.

For more information and the privacy policy, please see the Google Privacy Policy. The collection of the above information is based solely on your consent. You can revoke this consent at Google.

Social Media

We have embedded social media services (e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook) on our website to allow you to share our content with your friends and networks. These cookies are able to track your browser across other websites and build a profile of your interests. This may affect the content and messages you see on other websites you visit.

Provider: Twitter Inc, 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA.

We maintain a company profile on the Twitter platform and use cookies to measure the effectiveness of Twitter campaigns.

For more information about the data collected by Twitter, purposes and all other privacy information, please see the Twitter privacy policy (

Provider: LinkedIn Ireland, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland ("LinkedIn").

As part of our advertising measures, we use retargeting within LinkedIn. LinkedIn Conversion Tracking is a retargeting and analysis tool that is supported by the LinkedIn Insight Tag. The Insight Tag causes a cookie, i.e. a tiny text file, to be placed in the user's web browser when they visit the Deloitte website. The Insight Tag is integrated on the Deloitte website and enables the collection of data such as IP address, the time of the call of this website or the collection of defined events (such as downloads or page views). In addition, users can be shown interest-specific and relevant offers and recommendations depending on which services, information and offers users have found out about on the Deloitte website. Furthermore, this allows LinkedIn to compile statistics with aggregated data about the use and visit of the Deloitte website. If a user is a LinkedIn member, demographic information, e.g. regarding the approximate location, can also be collected. The cookie stored by the Insight Tag in the browser remains there until it is manually deleted by the user or automatically deleted after the last loading of the Insight Tag.

The storage of cookies can generally be edited via the web browser setting. Alternatively, users can specifically object to LinkedIn conversion tracking by setting an opt-out cookie that remains on the device until the user deletes the cookies. Users can deactivate the LinkedIn cookie at this link. LinkedIn members can do this by clicking on the "Opt-out on LinkedIn" box. Non-members click on "Opt-out". Further information on data protection at LinkedIn can be found here

The use of Facebook itself, in particular the interactive functions, lies in your own responsibility and as a registered user within the framework of the usage agreements that you have agreed to.

Insofar as personal data is processed in connection with our Facebook page and Facebook alone decides on the purposes and means of the processing, Facebook is responsible for the data processing.

If you submit personal data to us or are processed by us via our Facebook page or Instagram profile and we alone decide on the purposes and means of the processing, we are responsible. This relates primarily to all interaction and communication with our company via this channel as well as the evaluation, matching and measurement of campaigns (provision of campaign reports). Facebook processes data for this purpose on behalf of Deloitte Deutschland GmbH (Art. 28 DSGVO).

Insofar as data is processed by Facebook and us in connection with our Facebook page or Instagram profile and we contribute to the decision on the purposes and means of this processing, we are jointly responsible for the processing of the data (Art. 26 DSGVO). This primarily concerns the processing of Insights data on the Facebook Fan Page. Joint responsibility also includes the collection of personal information via certain Facebook business tools and their subsequent transfer to Facebook Ireland (in detail, targeting and ad targeting, improving and optimizing our advertising services, and personalized ads).

An agreement pursuant to Art. 26 DSGVO has been concluded with Facebook to regulate joint responsibility; this can be viewed at

How long do cookies stay on my device?

How long cookies remain on your device depends on whether they are persistent or session cookies.
