Maria Tarassidis

Maria Tarassidis joined Deloitte Legal in April 2021 as a Senior Associate in real estate law and advises domestic and foreign investors on the acquisition and development of real estate. She has a particular focus on real estate transactions, which, in addition to drafting contracts, also include conducting complex due diligence reviews. One of her main areas of expertise is advising on public real estate and building law, in particular building planning and building regulations law including all relevant ancillary areas. She also deals with legal issues relating to the ongoing asset and property management of real estate companies as well as commercial tenancy law.

Maria is listed among the "Ones to Watch in Germany 2024" in the ranking of the renowned US publisher Best Lawyers in the area of Public Law and Real Estate Law.

After her studies at the University of Leipzig and at the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki (Greece), Maria Tarassidis completed her legal traineeship in Berlin, working for the German Foreign Office in Berlin and the Greek Consulate General in New York (USA), among others. She was admitted to the bar in 2015. Prior to joining Deloitte Legal, Maria Tarassidis worked at Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH, most recently as a senior associate, specialising in public law and real estate law.

In addition to her native languages German and Greek, she speaks English.
