On 2 June Deloitte organised the “Enhancing Transparency for Construction Companies–Practical Seminar” at Courtyard by Marriott Tbilisi.
Experts from Deloitte shared their views on topics ranging from the main difficulties with IFRS first-year adoption to major fraud diagnostics and prevention for the construction industry.
The key fraud risks relevant to construction companies as well as typical fraud schemes were discussed at the seminar. Deloitte professionals also shared their experience in preparing financial statements in the construction sector, discussed the key steps for IFRS transformation and presented an IFRS tool that simplifies the financial statement preparation process.
The list of attendees included some of the largest construction companies operating in Georgia.
