Deloitte Legal hosted the Closing Reception and Award Ceremony of the 6th Tbilisi Pre-moot

Tbilisi Vis Pre-moot for Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration was launched in 2011 and has now become a steady tradition in Georgia. The Pre-moot is a two day competition aimed at preparing teams from Georgian as well as foreign universities for the international rounds of Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria. This year the 6th Tbilisi Pre Moot hosted 12 teams from the following universities: Hamburg (Germany), Bonn (Germany), Passau (Germany), Utrecht (the Netherlands), Latvia, Marmara (Türkiye), Kadir Has (Türkiye), National Research University Higher School of Economics (Russia), University of GIPA (Georgia), Free University of Tbilisi (Georgia), Tbilisi State University (Georgia), and New Vision University (Georgia).

On 26 February after the end of the oral rounds, Deloitte Georgia hosted the Closing Reception and Award Ceremony of the 6th Tbilisi Pre-moot at Betsy’s Hotel for the participating teams and Georgian practitioners. The head of Deloitte Legal, Giorgi Khurodze, welcomed the guests at the event and then the Arbitration Initiative Georgia representatives announced the three best teams who got the highest scores in the pre-moot oral rounds as well as the best speaker.

The winners of the 6th Tbilisi Pre Moot are:

1st place: Free University of Tbilisi

2nd place: University of Hamburg

3rd place: Tbilisi State University

Best individual oralist:

Rishat Vakhidov (University of Hamburg)
