Jennifer Deutsch

Deloitte Global Tax & Legal Technology Leader

Jen has more than 20 years experience working with tax executives and their teams to address their need for sustained performance within their functions and contribute to their company’s marketplace objectives. She advises clients on operating model design, data management strategies, and process and technology integration with respect to the tax function and its integration into the broader finance organization. Jen is both Global Tax Technology Consulting (TTC) Service Line leader and US Tax Technology Consulting Practice leader. In the US, she leads a team comprised of over 450 tax technology professionals that focus on the digital transformation of tax. Driven by globalization and ever-changing regulatory requirements, the practice has breadth encompassing technology solutions such as Cloud-based ERP platforms, robotics, data wrangling, custom data management development, indirect tax system automation, income tax provision, and compliance systems.

Jen’s Deloitte career has included serving multinational clients in various industries including technology, media, retail, manufacturing, and financial services. She spent two years on a global secondment working with Deloitte Germany in establishing and expanding the TTC footprint.

Jen is a frequent speaker and published author on tax operations, including the application of emerging technologies in the context of tax and the future tax workforce. She is a facilitator in the Deloitte Tax Lab Experiences focused on Executive Transition Labs and Tax Transformation Labs, guiding tax executives and their teams on their digital journey.

Jen has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and holds a Master of Science in Accounting from San Diego State University. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in California and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
