EveryDay Impact Story: Deloitte US is supporting United Way’s COVID Response & Recovery work  

In the midst of the Coronavirus crisis, Deloitte people around the globe are working to connect to what matters each and every day. This story is part of a series featuring Deloitte people and the impactful work they are doing with clients and in the communities they serve.

What is the challenge?

In response to the toll of the pandemic in the United States, and in realization of the critical need to support those who are struggling to get the resources, supplies and help they need in the short term, Deloitte US has made a financial commitment to United Way’s response and relief efforts as part of its response to the toll of this pandemic.

How are we helping?

United Way Worldwide’s COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund directly supports communities struggling in the wake of the virus, including support of the 211 network, a free and confidential 24/7 hotline service that helps people in North America find the local resources they need—whether food, health, disaster relief, or education resources. Some 12 million people use this network annually via phone, text, and chat; usage is up 200-400% right now.
