News release

NEW YORK, NY, USA, 12 November 2019–International Tax Review (ITR) recognized 183 Deloitte professionals for their excellence in the 2020 Tax Controversy Leaders Guide.

For the third consecutive year, Deloitte maintained its leadership position by having the most leaders listed in the Tax Controversy Leaders Guide across 47 jurisdictions. The recognition reaffirms Deloitte’s commitment to being the undisputed leader in providing clients consistent quality of services globally.

“Deloitte’s consistent and prominent recognition in the annual Tax Controversy Leaders Guide demonstrates the experience and strength of our network of professionals around the world,” says James Fabijancic, global leader of tax controversy. “With the global tax regulatory environment continuously changing and requiring greater interaction between jurisdictions, Deloitte’s skilled professionals are committed as ever to providing broad-based, scalable, technology-enabled solutions for each unique client and market across the globe.”

Deloitte takes pride in having multi-faceted and highly-skilled tax controversy teams comprised of alternative dispute resolution specialists, former tax authority officials, and in many countries, tax litigation specialists who assist multinational businesses at all phases of the tax controversy cycle. Additionally, Deloitte’s tax controversy professionals employ an array of advanced technologies, from automation to machine learning, to help clients better navigate a shifting regulatory environment.

Professionals recognized in the guide are nominated by their peers and clients. Following the nominations, ITR also conducts independent research to validate the results.
