Deloitte named a leader in Asia Pacific in threat lifecycle services by IDC

NEW YORK, NY, USA, 15 February 2019 — International Data Corporation (IDC) has ranked Deloitte a leader in their report entitled, IDC MarketScape: Asia/Pacific Threat Lifecycle Services 2018 Vendor Assessment. IDC recognizes Deloitte as a leader based on capabilities and strategies.

“Among the ‘Big Four,’ Deloitte is one of the earlier vendors to realize the trend of digital and start building a wide array of digital technology and operational capabilities,” said Cathy Huang, senior research manager, IDC Asia/Pacific Security Services and author of the report. “It has a strong portfolio of services focused on assisting its clients in transforming a legacy IT security program into a more proactive cyber-risk program that streamlines the compliance process and better aligns security investments with business risk priorities.”

IDC describes the MarketScape as “a quantitative and qualitative assessment of the characteristics that explain a vendor's success in the marketplace and help anticipate the vendor's ascendancy.” The report assesses the capabilities and business strategies of the leading business consulting organizations.

According to IDC, “Breaches have become a daily occurrence, making it critical for security services providers to offer a lifecycle approach that includes services that help organizations prepare, respond, remediate, and recover to a healthy state, and to minimize the negative impact of breach and significantly enhance an organization's resilience.”
