OAUG Oracle Accounts Payable SIG Meeting

Abstract: This session is an Oracle Accounts Payable special interest group meeting to discuss P2P in the cloud. The group is designed to provide the Oracle user community with an understanding of Oracle ERP Cloud strategy and the various options open to them as their companies migrate from legacy ERP to cloud ERP. Oracle provides a variety
of different platforms to different companies. Macy’s Chooses Oracle HCM Cloud to Improve Operational Efficiency

Abstract: Managing employee bank accounts and handling bank rejections requires significant attention in any mid- to large-size payroll organization. With more than 200,000 employees, Macy’s payroll department also deals with a fairly large number of such rejections every week. In this session hear how Oracle’s bank reprocessing functionality is helping Macy’s reduce this maintenance effort and maximize operational efficiency by enabling the systematic processing of Return files, allowing them to take corrective actions on employee bank data, void rejected payments, and reissue voided payments. This study intends to elaborate on the bank reprocessing features in Oracle HCM cloud, and details the nitty-gritties of the implementation steps and explores a path to optimize the operational benefits.

Georgia Project Paves the Way and Becomes the First State to Budget in the Cloud

Abstract: The State of Georgia, Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget is the first State to leverage Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service to replace its current planning and budgeting applications as a part of a strategy to move to the cloud. In this session learn how Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service provided a consolidated statewide budget system on a single platform that reduced data redundancy and support costs while modernizing the technology. OPB integrated the Oracle solution with an on-premises Oracle’s PeopleSoft General Ledger. Hear how the project replaced four key in-house applications and provides the functionality to manage budget development and amendments for annual operating and capital budgets.

Analytics in Healthcare: Deloitte’s Triple AIM IQ Finds Value in Volumes of Data

Chevron’s Global JD Edwards 9.2 Upgrade Top 5 Success Factors

Abstract: Chevron’s international upstream operations in 25 countries underwent an upgrade of its Oracle’s JD Edwards 8.11 release to 9.2 for nine business units. This session examines the planning, methodology, organization, and implementation strategy that ultimately accelerated the timeline and saved a significant amount off the original budget. Chevron used Deloitte Consulting to partner with for planning and staffing; in the end, it performed the retrofit and migration of close to 6,000 custom objects. The go-lives were characterized as “flawless” and “exceeding expectations” by the business units. This discussion examines the Top 5 success factors.
