Deloitte and One Young World

Developing young leaders who will make a societal impact

As part of Deloitte’s WorldClass ambition to empower 50 million people, our partnership with One Young World (OYW) develops young professionals into future leaders who can solve the world’s toughest problems.

From 17-20 October 2018, a delegation made up of 42 Deloitte professionals and five non-profit representatives will be attending the One Young World Summit in the Hague, Netherlands. The Summit’s theme is ‘building a better world,’ and will provide the delegates a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to be inspired for positive change, develop leadership skills, and grow their global networks. After the Summit, Deloitte’s One Young World delegation will commit their inspiration and skills to address some of the world’s most complex global challenges through projects they deliver.

Caroline Zegers, Senior Partner, Deloitte Netherlands serves on The Hague Advisory Board, which works closely with One Young World to ensure the Summit has the maximum positive impact on participating delegates and the city of The Hague.

David Sproul, Senior Partner and CEO of Deloitte North West Europe, has also committed his time as a Counsellor to One Young World 2018. In this role, he will act as a leader during the Summit, and meet with the One Young World delegates to encourage them to translate their Summit experience into true learning and action.

WorldClass and One Young World

The One Young World relationship is part of Deloitte’s organization-wide WorldClass ambition to empower 50 million people through education, skills development, and access to opportunity. By developing our young people into leaders who can address and solve global issues, we are able to accelerate our efforts to find the most innovative solutions to today’s challenges.

Lead2030 Challenge

Deloitte is proud to support One Young World’s Lead 2030 initiative, which aims to support youth-led solutions for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through business-supported challenges.

Deloitte is collaborating with the Global Business Coalition for Education on a Lead 2030 Challenge for SDG 4 – quality education. This challenge encourages youth applicants to submit solutions that drive impact in either skills development and lifelong learning, accelerating entrepreneurship, or improving access to education and skills opportunities to help prepare for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Applications to the Challenge will launch during the Summit. To learn more, click here.
