Deloitte leader appointed to Enterprise Risk Management framework update committee

New York, NY 12 March 2015 - Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) announced today that Henry Ristuccia, DTTL leader Governance, Regulatory & Risk Strategies has been appointed as one of the advisors to The Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) for the project to review and update the 2004 Enterprise Risk Management–Integrated Framework (Framework).

Working closely with representatives from leading professional services, legal, technology, public organizations, and academia, Henry will provide counsel and guidance throughout the initiative. The Framework is a widely accepted framework used by management to enhance an organization's ability to manage uncertainty and to consider how much risk to accept as it strives to increase stakeholder value.

Commenting on the appointment, Ristuccia, said: “The COSO ERM Framework is an important resource for our profession and we are pleased to contribute based on our risk management knowledge.”

The Framework is being updated to reflect the evolution of the industry, as well as changing stakeholder expectations.
