An emotional roller coaster to COVID-19 recovery
When Carlo Navarro took a vacation in Japan with his family in February, he knew there could be a risk with coronavirus. He ensured that his family took precautionary measures – wearing masks, sanitising their hands and avoiding crowded places. However, on the flight home, he sat in front of a passenger who was coughing vigorously, and within seven days of his return, Carlo developed COVID-19 symptoms.
