Considerations for car purchase
Today, India stands as one of the top ten automotive markets in the world and is likely to scale-up to third position by 2020, thanks to the expanding middle-class population with buying potential. Given the background, this report analyses the behavioural changes of the car buyers in India.
The burgeoning automobile market and changing car purchase patterns have already led to a number of key global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to establish their operations in India. However, despite the growth opportunities they are also faced with a number of challenges. In this context, during the year 2013, we surveyed over 1800 respondents in India. This was a part of a global initiative where our survey covered over 23,000 people in 19 countries. This report captures the key findings of the survey.
