Stay ahead of cyberthreats with SEBI’s new cybersecurity mandates

Empowering financial security through proactive cyber-defence and resilience

The increasing complexity of cyberthreats in today’s financial markets has urged SEBI to introduce critical technological advancements aimed at safeguarding the IT infrastructure of Regulated Entities (REs).

In response to these challenges, SEBI’s High Powered Steering Committee (HPSC–CS) has reviewed and developed/updated the Cybersecurity and Cyber Resilience Framework (CSCRF) to address the growing risks and difficulties related to cybersecurity within the financial ecosystem. This Point of View (POV) outlines the goals of the new CSCRF framework, focussing on strengthening cybersecurity practices and ensuring compliance with the standards and mandatory guidelines outlined by SEBI. The framework serves as a robust guide for building IT resilience, safeguarding sensitive data, and ensuring financial stability.
