Dr. Amrita Ganguly is a Chemical Engineer with a Doctoral Degree in Energy Economics. She has over 17 years of experience in the climate and environment domain. She is an expert in strategy and policy advisory on a number of issues ranging from energy, green economic zones, low carbon growth, and climate resilience to national mitigation and adaptation policies. She has worked extensively across geographies (developed and developing countries as well as Least Developed Countries) such as India, Singapore, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Peru, China, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Mauritius, UK, Kenya, USA, Mozambique, Germany and Australia on various prestigious projects funded by World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UN organizations, DFID, GIZ and KfW. She has developed solutions around innovative concepts like circular economy, net zero, climate-smart cities, Industry 5.0 and application of digitally enabled technologies in climate/pollution control for various central and provincial governments. Her experience with the private sector includes areas like ESG, decarbonization, energy efficiency and optimization and climate funding.
