Aditya Khaitan

Aditya is a Partner with consulting practice of Deloitte with ~20 years of experience. He has been part of consulting engagements in developed and emerging markets across more than 25 countries. Aditya has led, managed and delivered multiple engagements in areas of national broadband programs, technology strategy, new technology implementations, large scale OSS, BSS implementations, business plan development, cost optimization, sourcing strategies amongst others. Some of the key clients serviced by Aditya include BSNL, Airtel, Vodafone, MTN, Tigo, Telstra, NBN, Maxis Aircel, Etisalat, STC. He is also involved in engagements across telecom initiatives with several regulatory agencies nationally and international.

Aditya has been the lead Partner for development of the Centre for Innovation and Technology and has been entrusted with leading the initiative with focus on demonstrating the ‘Art of Possible’ to the clients originating from Deloitte capabilities across vertical and horizontals as well as leveraging the Centre as a space to co-develop, co-innovate with our clients.

Some recent experiences

  • Aditya is the lead for PPP transaction advisory for National Optic Fiber Network (NOFN) program in India to the Department of Telecom
  • Aditya was the Technical Due Diligence lead for the last Telco privatisation globally.
  • Lead for Data Centre Demand Modelling for a global operator (Africa and Middle East) across 7 countries and 60 facilities in lieu of assessing potential commercialisation of white space opportunities
  • Aditya has led/ managed BharatNet Project (National Optical Fiber Network in India) for Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh for providing high speed internet based on IP-MPLS architecture. The projects also include deployment of Wi-Fi infrastructure at village level to provide broadband and citizen centric services
  • Engagement leader for tripartite pre-merger integration assistance for the incumbent in PNG, govt. SPV created for managing the fiber assets and the private mobile operator. Aditya led the synergy identification and development of implementation plan for the Network, IT and Procurement work streams.
  • Engagement lead for commercial strategy and regional market feasibility assessment for the incumbent (govt.) FiberCo/ NetCo in Botswana.
  • Led (as engagement lead/workstream lead/ SME) several ERP/OSS/BSS implementations across telcos.
  • Led several technical due diligence engagements in the telco domain including targets such as 4G players, broadband providers, Wi-Fi providers etc. in India and Africa.
  • Led engagement for network sourcing strategy refresh, cost baselining, development of operating model and assistance for implementation from development of RFI to vendor selection for one of the largest operators in India
  • Aditya has been involved in the development of technology strategy including the NOC strategy for mobile and fixed business for the incumbent in Southern African market in light of segregation of fiber assets and transition to the SPV created.
