On 1 October, Deloitte organized Business4Climate webinar in partnership with Confindustria, with the contribution of CBI - Confederation of British Industry and under the patronage B20, this year lead by Italy.

The initiative, promoted by the Sustainability team, the Industry ER&I and the Italian Public Policy Program, is part of the ALL4CLIMATE campaign carried on by Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition.

It was for Deloitte an important occasion to strengthen its position on environment-related topics, in line with the global WorldClimate program.

It was a high-profile forum where policy makers and leading business representatives took part to discuss, in the lead-up to COP26, the global progress achieved and aimed to identify a sustainable and virtuous path towards carbon-neutrality.

Sam Baker – Partner Deloitte UK has then introduced Goal 13 Impact Platform, an open-source online platform that collects key actions that businesses are putting forward to fight climate change.

The project goal is to facilitate the sharing of best practices and encourage collaboration between organizations on the path towards climate sustainability.

Fabio Pompei - CEO of Deloitte Italy, was the main moderator of the webinar, which saw the participation of Keynote Speakers such as:

  • Emma Marcegaglia | B20 Chair
  • Lord Karan Bilimoria | Chair, CBI

Furthermore, other well-known personalities took the floor during the panel discussion, such as:

  • Stefano Donnarumma | CEO, Terna
  • Antonio Gozzi | Chair, Duferco Group
  • Carlo Tamburi | Chair and CEO, ENEL Italia

The closing remarks saw the intervention of Aurelio Regina - Energy Delegate of Confindustria and of our Global CEO, Punit Renjen.

Among the participants were representatives of leading national and international companies, distinguished representatives of Institutional community, as well as exponents of the Italian and European media landscape.
