New appointments

Anthony Mahon, who led the Caspian Tax and Legal business for a number of years, has been appointed the leader of the Deloitte International Oil and Gas Centre of Excellence. Anthony is widely considered a market leader in the oil and gas sector and will be leading a team of experts representing all advisory functions, including legal reviews, cost recovery, tax and venture management and others.

Agaisha Ibrasheva will take on leadership of the Caspian Tax and Legal Department after spending over 10 years successfully leading the Legal Group. Agaisha has over 20 years of experience in the tax and legal industry and in that time has coordinated major tax consulting projects for national and international construction and oil service companies.

Audit partner Zhangir Zhilysbayev has been appointed General Director of Deloitte LLP in Kazakhstan. Zhangir has more than 15 years’ experience in the audit of financial institutions, advising on the IFRS implementation and capital market transactions. He has built up excellent business relations with a number of Deloitte’s largest banking clients in the Caspian Region, and is also responsible for coordinating the Kazakhstan practice’s accounting and asset quality analysis services for financial institutions.
