What does Pride mean to our people?
We want everyone at Deloitte Luxembourg to feel they can be themselves at work—to have a voice, be respected and to reach their goals, regardless of their ethnicity, gender, sexuality or any other characteristic.
This year, we launched our GLOBE initiative with the aim of celebrating diversity with pride and providing a platform for the LGBT+ community and beyond, for all of us to learn, share and support Deloitte’s commitment to an inclusive and safe work environment for the rich diversity of its people.
We believe in the power of “allyship”; members of the GLOBE initiative who support the rights and wellbeing of their LGBT+ colleagues. Allyship is not just passive support, but part of our everyday actions—visibly and vocally supporting LGBT+ people inside and outside of Deloitte.
In June, as we entered Pride month, we invited all of our people to help us reach higher together by providing tips to show their support: a personalized email signature, updating their Skype status with a “Proud to be an Ally” message, and the opportunity to join the Ally program.
To highlight the efforts made, Workplace Pride has ranked Deloitte Global as a Workplace Pride Advocate for 2019. Of the 38 organizations that participated in the 2019 Global Benchmark, Deloitte earned a score of 85.6%, placing us in the top tier (upper third) of participants and earning us the distinction of Workplace Pride Advocate. The result shows that we have made enormous progress.
