Extension to FATCA and CRS reporting deadlines

The Commissioner for Revenue (‘CfR’), in response to the challenges brought about by the outbreak of COVID-19, has announced an extension to the FATCA and CRS reporting deadline in relation to reporting year 2019.
In light of this and in order for Malta to continue to honour its international commitments in terms of FATCA and CRS, the CfR has announced that reporting Malta financial institutions must submit the required reports by not later than 30 June 2020 in relation to reporting year 2019.
