National Tax Conference 2019

5-6 August 2019

Sim Kwang Gek, Country Tax Leader of Deloitte Malaysia was invited to share her insights and expertise on the topic of ‘Digital Economy – Online Transactions’ during a panel session at the 2-day National Tax Conference 2019.

Organised by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia and the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia, this year’s conference focused on economic prosperity and taxation. The conference was officiated by YB Tuan Lim Guan Eng, Minister of Finance.

Deloitte Sales Tax and Service Tax Update Seminar 2019

Deloitte’s Indirect Tax Team recently organised two intensive half-day workshops focused on Sales Tax and Service Tax, respectively. The seminar provided participants with in-depth insights on the current operation of the relevant laws, the current interpretations taken by the RMCD and the practical and business considerations relevant to both.

The seminar focused on both technical and practical issues and was tailored to address common confusions that may arise in the business practices, while providing participants the opportunity to ask questions or clear doubts.
